Top 20 Songs on Acoustic Pie, August 2010

August 31, 2010

Seeing a favorite San Diego singer/songwriter at the top of this list always makes me smile.  And seeing that you voted the talented San Diegan Will Edwards onto the list twice this month really makes me smile!  (no. 1 and no. 5).   Also representing San Diego’s wonderful pool of songwriters this month are A. J. Croce (no. 9) and Coco & Lafe (no. 13).

I love every artist playing on Acoustic Pie.  But this month, listeners have singled out a whole slew of my very favorite songs by those artists.  I’ll just mention a few of them in the hopes you’ll investigate further:  Anais Mitchell’s “Cosmic American” (no. 8), Richard Shindell’s “A Juggler Out In Traffic” (no. 10) and Storyhill’s “Give Up the Ghost” (no. 20).   Beautiful and unusual songs, each and every one of them.

I’m glad you’re listening!  I’m glad you’re voting!  Don’t forget that I always want to know if I’m not playing one of  your favorite acoustic singer/songwriters.
